The activity of JKSMS in Jaipur, India
Jan kala Sahitya Manch Sanshta (JKSMS) is a non-political, non-profit and non- governmental organization involved in social work for the development, rehabilitation and protection of children and women. I mostly focused on the homeless children and families living in the area close to Jaipur Railway Station. JKSMS provides counseling and help regarding education and health. They help bridging the gap between the extremely poor and the other classes by communicating with doctors and other authorities on behalf of the invisible ones. During the days that I spent with the children I learned about their lives and their struggle. Some of the youngest are only 10 years old, They have come from all over India to escape poverty or violent parents. Sometimes they just leave home because they want more freedom. Although they do not have housing facilities, they still manage to form a very strong sense of community amongst them. They help and protect each other; they form a family.
I wanted to provide to the viewers a taste of what it would be like to live in the streets, in India, at the age of 10.

I spent the day with the children in Jaipur and enjoyed it very much! Their smiles were so genuine and although we only brought a few pieces of paper and paints that took up almost all our time spent with the children. I would like to return but what to be able to be productive when doing so. I am thinking about returning this coming January. I enjoy your article by the way
    thanks
